Deck Ceiling: Pretty and Painted

We did it! The ceiling is finished (80% done counts right?) two coats of primer, a lot of exterior caulk, and 2 coats of Behr alkyd water based exterior top coat in colonial. Ceiling fixtures installed and candles hung around the perimeter. We just may be able to use the space this week since a warm front (60 degrees!) is coming through. There are a few touch-ups to do but we are almost there.

We did for a few days – now back to the biong cold of MI fall.
I think it looks great and I think that the vents are a terrific idea. We have a similar situation on our side porch and have been kicking around several ideas. This vent system might be a winner for us too.

We did get a chance to eat a few meals out there before the temp dived.
